İmplant, vücut içerisine ve canlı dokulara yerleştirilen cansız maddeleri ifade eder. (Dental) implantlar (diş implantları), eksik olan bir veya birkaç dişin işlev ve estetiğini iade etmek için çene kemikleri içinde açılan yuvaya yerleştirilen genellikle titanyum esaslı vida veya kök şeklindeki yapılardır. İmplant uygulama yöntemlerini kapsayan disipline ise implantoloji adı verilmektedir. Diş implantı ile canlı kemik dokusu arasındaki birlikteliğe osseointegrasyon adı verilir. / Implant refers to inanimate substances placed in the body and living tissues.
